Windsor County Vermont

by Tom Ashworth

Me and my friend Jim Labuz and his brother Bob of Utica, New York used to go over to Broad Brook in Windsor County and prospect for gold. Jim and I have some great stories about this place. I found a little nugget using a Gold Spear that weighed in at 1.2 dwt. Jimmy and Bob have found some real nice nuggets here. Jim and I used a 3" dredge here, but some moron from the DEQ ruined our fun. I understand the government has gotten bad over there (those damn communist "democrats") and you can't even pan there now, but I will list the sites anyway.
